Join Simurgh Arts’ Artist Keagan Wheat at this workshop celebrating Poetry and Transgender Awareness Week! "Anchoring into Yourself Through Writing Your History" is a workshop by Keagan Wheat offered through Writers in the Schools! This workshop is a free event welcoming poets, singers, songwriters, and spoken word artists aged 13-19 to dive into themes of gender identity.

Join Keagan as he leads the group through an exploration of poems and guided writing prompts meant to anchor us into ourselves by maintaining our individual histories. Following the workshop, there will be an open mic where you can share your creations and connect with others to foster community!
